Prema Journal #1
This is my new baby, Prema. She is a two month old Senegal Parrot. As of yet, she is still living at the pet store and being slowly weened of formula. She should be going home with me in a few weeks. I try and visit her a little every weekday so that this eventual transition won't be too difficult.
I chose to get a Senegal for many reasons. As you can see, she is smaller than most other parrots. She is also quieter and more independent than most common parrots, which means that she will not make living situations that much more difficult for me and she will be relatively okay with my nine to five lifestyle. Plus, Prema will only live to be about 30 years old. So with a little luck, she won't outlive me.
